Year 5 Cricket Tournament Parent Forum Meeting, 2pm 2B Class Assembly, 2.15pm The next Talk Topic is. What s the funniest thing you saw today/this week? MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER: We have had an exciting week with our Wild Week. This has been a great opportunity for all our classes to experience the Forest School learning which will be a part of our curriculum from September and has given pupils the opportunity to develop socially as well as underpinning the learning in other subject areas. We are now looking forward to our next themed week which will be our Olympic Week, commencing 4 th July. Our Year 6 pupils had a brilliant time on Wednesday which they spent at Wells Cathedral. They had many memorable experiences and took part in a wide range of activities including drama and dance workshops. A reminder that I will be meeting with the Parent Forum next Friday when we will be discussing the school improvement priorities for the coming year. Have a lovely weekend, Claire Mirams, Headteacher Pilgrim Day at Wells On Wednesday our Year 6 children had the opportunity to attend a Pilgrim Day at Wells. They met together with children from across the Diocese to reflect on their school journey so far, as they prepare to move on to secondary school. At the end of the day we shared a special service in the Cathedral itself. The children collected a candle which we will use for the next year in worship, to remind us of them as they begin the next part of their journey. It was a wonderful day and the children made us very proud, with thoughtful contributions and excellent conduct. Well done Year 6!
