Races are expected to go off every 2-3 minutes and will not be held for teams that do not report to the Paddock. Teams will be called in groups (i.e. - Junior Boys Heats 1-7). Please listen for your team's call! Age group race order: Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls, Senior Boys. The CYO Night at the Penn Relays is open to all parish/school track teams in the Archdiocese. Teams are divided by gender and age group - Juniors: runners in at least 4th grade and under 12 years old at 12/31/13, Seniors: runners who are in 8th grade or below, and 12 and older at 12/31/13 - and randomly assigned lanes. The top 9 teams from each age group will qualify to represent the Archdiocese on Friday morning at the 120th Penn Relay Carnival. Teams are seeded on Friday according to UPenn's standard lane preference, 6,7,8,9,5,4,3,2,1. Below is a chart that details the first and last qualifiers, and the average for each, over the last five years. You can use the space below to track the top times recorded during the meet. All times are displayed on the scoreboard on Weightman Hall after each race is completed. There were two qualifying teams in the first heat of the Senior Boys last year. Our Lady of Mount Carmel (48.62) was the only team to go under 49 seconds last year while St Patrick - Malvern (49.49) was the third fastest qualifier.
