1 Dear Parents, Students and Staff, I have once again been privileged to serve as Principal of St Gabriel s. During this time I have never ceased to be impressed with the dedicated effort that is devoted by so many people to provide the best learning opportunities we can for our students your children. Teachers, support staff and parents working together in partnership to provide the best opportunities possible for learning to flourish. Together we can achieve great things. My thanks to all of you is extended for your efforts this year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of people who have been involved in making this school year a great success. Hoctor for your support, help, interest, advice and leadership given to us during THE STAFF Many thanks to the school staff for their professionalism, enthusiasm, dedication, support and for their constant care and concern for the students, parents and all others in our community. PARISH STAFF I thank the Parish staff Gracie and Huong, for their work and support of our school. THE PARENTS & FRIENDS GROUP Many thanks to the Parents and Friends group who, once again throughout this year, worked tirelessly to raise funds for the school. Their hard work, commitment and dedication are very much appreciated. Through their efforts, we have raised many funds to go towards the upkeep of our school and purchasing much needed resources. UNIFORM SHOP Special thanks to Margot Neilson for her time, effort and enthusiasm in organising and being responsible for the Uniform Shop. PARENTS We thank the parents for your support and interest that you show in your child s education. This support is shown to us in so many ways. First and foremost, ensuring your child receives a Catholic education which is our reason for being, and the foundation stone of our school. Helping your child with their homework, participating in all the school events including excursions, swimming, fund-raising support, selling raffle tickets and chocolates, Learning Conferences and Masses also shows your interest in your children s school life. Thank you. SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL Thank you for your contribution and input into the many facets of school life. STUDENT GROUPS Thanks to our School and House Captains who throughout the year were terrific, and also thanks to the members of the Justice League. Each group brings added talents and strengths that benefit all in our community. STUDENTS Thank you to all our students who have enriched our school life throughout the 2018 School Year. We hope that you have a safe and restful holiday break, and return to school refreshed and ready to learn. Thank you all very much

We wish you all the very best. Year 6 Children: We say farewell to our Year 6 children. A new journey in education and many changes begin for them in Each year the staff, together with their families, have developed and reinforced many life skills to equip them for the journey, eg. Team-work, problem solving, negotiation, respect, manners and lateral thinking. I would like to reinforce that all of these qualities can be insignificant without continuing your faith journey as well. May you always remember your time at St Gabriel s Parish Primary School and may the Holy Spirit continue to guide you throughout your life journey. Families Moving On: We farewell families who are leaving us from other levels. We thank you for sharing your gifts with us over the years and wish you the very best as you begin the next phase of your journey. 4 How do families and students download an archive of student work? Seesaw Support Here's how to download a.zip archive of your child's Seesaw journal, including images, videos, audio recordings, and text notes or captions. Please use a computer and a Chrome or Firefox browser only, the.zip file will not download on a mobile or tablet device. Students who sign into Seesaw using their address can also download their.zip archive by following these instructions. 1. Sign into your Family account at 2. Click your Profile Icon on the top left. 3. Click the Gear Icon. 4. Click Account Settings. 5. Scroll down and click Download Journal Archives. 6. Click the Download Journal button for the journal you want to download. This might take awhile depending on your Internet speed and how many posts your child has in Seesaw. You will get an organized by month and then ordered by the date the post was added. You'll see an html file with a thumbnail, text notes or captions, folder names and links (if the post used the Link Creative Tool). You'll also see the original image, video or audio files.
