2 From the Principal Reports/Parent Teacher Interviews This month the teachers have been very busy completing the students reports. They will be available online via the parent portal on Friday 17 June. Students will not receive a hardcopy of their report, rather parents will need to access the report online. Parent Teacher Interviews will be conducted the week of 20 June. Teachers will be available at various times throughout the week. Parents will need to book an interview online at a time convenient. The online booking portal is open now and you should have received information as to how to access the portal and book an interview. Please contact the office or Martin King, our Reporting Coordinator if you need assistance in this process. I encourage you all to make a time to see your child s teacher as then a full discussion of your child s progress can occur. Enrolments I have been very busy conducting school tours for Prep If you have a child who is eligible to start school next year please fill in the enrolment papers as soon as possible. This assists us with our budgets and forward planning for staffing. Kimberley Reserve Master Plan You may have received notification from the Shire regarding the variation to the proposed Master Plan for Kimberley Reserve. As you may remember there was a proposed dogs off leash area directly adjacent to the school in the original plan. Even though I sent letters to the Shire and visited their Council meeting one night strongly objecting to the proposal, it looks like the dogs off leash area could still be a part of the proposal. It concerns me that this may still go ahead as, although I personally like dogs, I can only foresee potential issues with having dogs roaming freely so close to the school. Not only could they venture into the school grounds but they could potentially be a danger to our students on their way to and from the school. The alternative proposed is a soccer pitch for that same area. In my eyes this is a much better alternative from the perspective of the safety of our children. If you agree with me could I encourage you to or give feedback via to have your say you need to respond before 10 June (this Saturday). Jan Marinakos Prep B Chase R & Amelia M Prep C... It is great to see so many students coming week after week and getting fitter and fitter. Grade 3/4 Hooptime Grade 3/4 Hooptime will be held this year on Friday 5th August at Kilsyth Basketball Stadium. All students who have indicated interest for this year have been given a permission form this week and have been put into a team. If your child hasn't received their permission form, it is possible that they didn't express their interest earlier in the year. Please get them to see Mr Norton if there are any concerns. 5/6 Sport With this Friday being the last round of 5/6 sport for the year we still have 2 teams that have the chance to finish the season as District Champions.
