1 ROCKET RECORDER Dear Saint Nicholas Catholic School Community, Next week, we have our Catholic Schools Week. We are celebrating the wonderful things that happen here at Saint Nicholas Catholic School. Make sure you check the calendar for the events that are coming up. If there are any last minute talent show forms or grandparent s day forms still out, you can turn them into the office, so we can plan accordingly. Thank you. I have been getting some questions on the Forward Exam. Remember this Forward Exam will be taken by ALL students in grades 3-8, unless parents opt their children out. If parents do plan on opting their children out, I need it in the form of a letter. If you have any questions let me know. Reminders: We will be having open house at Saint Nicholas on Tuesday, January 29 from 4-6 and on Sunday after Mass. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. All students in grades 3-8 are welcome to come up in the choir area and sing the songs for Catholic Schools Week mass, February 3, at 10:30. Also, Saint Nick s Choir will be performing before mass and they should arrive no later than 10:15 to meet Mrs. Groh in church by the choir area. This years Opera for the Young is called Super Storm. It will be held on Wednesday, February 13 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The third graders will be performing with the professional singers. Everyone is invited to attend. Thank you everyone for your support of Saint Nicholas Catholic School. Blessings. Scott Vanderloop svanderloop@stnicholasfreedom.org Mission Statement: Rooted in our Catholic faith we empower, model and share the light of Christ with all we meet. Rocket Recorder 1
