As a believer I couldn t agree more even so come quickly Lord Jesus! There has never been a time when Christian education is more important. I m so thankful that God s plan for our kids is to give them a future and a hope. God has been so good to us at Grace. As you look toward an uncertain future for Biblical values in this world I hope that you will agree there s nowhere to go but Grace! Join us on 2/21 at 7 p.m. for us to share our vision for the next year. PRESIDENTS DAY There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 18th, due to Presidents Day. Classes will be dismissed for the day, and daycare will not be available. We have many businesses who faithfully support our school! Check out the list on pages 6 and 7! T H U R S D A Y, F E B R U A R Y 7, BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS Our WVCAT Middle School and Varsity basketball tournaments will take place at the end of this week and next week. Greater Beckley Christian School will host our Middle School players on February 8th-9th. Our Varsity teams will play in Summersville on February 15th-16th. A playing bracket, for our Middle School teams, can be found on page 4 of the Update, and a Varsity bracket can be found on page 5. SPIRIT WEEK NEXT week, our students in K3-12th grade will be involved in our GCS Spirit Week to get us excited for their upcoming Varsity Basketball Tournament! GO SOLDIERS! Monday-Hat Day: Come dressed in your funniest hat! Tuesday- Mismatch/Crazy Day: Come dressed in unique patterns and clash! Wednesday- Character Day (Book or Movie): Come dressed as your favorite character! Thursday- Valentines Day: Wear as much red, pink, and white as possible! Friday- Blue and Gold Day: Show your Soldier Spirit by wearing as much blue and gold as possible! SENIOR VALENTINES SALE Our Seniors are selling a variety of items for Valentine s Day! An order form is available on page 3 of this week s Update. This is a great way to make the day special for your loved ones and friends! All proceeds will benefit the Senior class and their Senior trip!

This event provides a good opportunity for you, our parents, to view new books and materials that are available for sale to our students in grades K3-8. Books make wonderful gifts for all ages! If anyone would be willing to volunteer and assist with the book fair, please call the school office on Thursdays and talk to Linda Adkins. STRAWBERRY SALE The Strawberry Sale will begin on February 15th and continue through March 5th, and may be picked up on March 12th from 11-5:30 in Fellowship C. The cost is $26 for a full flat (8-1lb containers), or $13 for a half flat (4-1lb containers). If you would like to pay with a credit card, the cost is $26.65 and $ This is a simple way to provide a delicious treat to our school families! BISCUIT SALE On Thursday mornings, the Senior High choir and band will be selling Tudor s biscuits to begin raising funds for needed choir risers and band instruments. Each will only be $2, and you can choose from the following: butter, sausage, or pepperoni. Biscuits will be available on a first come, first serve basis until they are sold out!
