1 Members of Crestview High Schoolʼs Class of 2011 turn their tassels at the end of graduation ceremonies on Saturday. Crestview High School Class of 2011 Crestview High School held its 51st annual Baccalaureate and Commencement Program in the high school gymnasium for the Class of A total of 71 seniors graduated during ceremonies held Saturday evening in the high school gymnasium -- the first year the gymnasium was air-conditioned following the schoolʼs renovation project. Speakers for the evening included honor students Jessica Burger and Caitlin Hancock. Speaker for Crestviewʼs commencement was Pastor Gregory Leigh of Convoy United Methodist Church.. The choir sang Song of Joy by Greg Gilpin with Danille Hancock directing. Crestview High School Principal Mike Biro also provided remarks to the class, including some good advice on how to approach the future. Outstanding Senior Awards were presented by Biro and Elementary Principal Kathy Mollenkopf. Winners this year were Burger and Bradley Miller. Burger was also the recipient of the Black Inc. Award by Central Insurance Vice President Jan White. Board members Pam Motycka (president), John Auld (vice president), Lonnie Nedderman, Lori Bittner and Mike Schlagbaum presented diplomas to this yearʼs graduating class, while Motycka also had congratulatory remarks for the seniors. Those present also sang the school alma mater and Student Council President Joey Overmyer gave closing remarks before the graduates recessed from the gymnasium. Teacher and Crestview Class of 1969 alumnus Keith Langdon spoke to the schoolʼs Class of 2010 during commencement exercises held Saturday evening.
