2 INSTRUCTIONS 1. There is no formal examination for Classes I to V. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation of the students is done throughout the year based on which promotion is decided. Weekly tests are held on each Friday or any other day (in case Friday is a holiday) as mentioned in the Year Book. The syllabus for each test will be given to the students a week before the test. 2. If a student is absent for any test she / he will be awarded zero in that test. If a student is absent on the day of the test due to medical reasons, a written application supported by a medical certificate must be submitted on the same day. Students are not allowed to take tests during illness. 3. The student on medical leave for 3 or more than 3 days will be allowed to resume school only after the medical fitness certificate is submitted. 4. No student is allowed to go home after the test and no half day leave is permitted for any other reason as well. 5. Please motivate your child to come to school regularly and on time. 6. The corrected answer sheets of each Weekly Test / Mid Term examination will be sent home within a week after the test / examination. Parents are to sign the answer sheet(s) and send them back to the subject teacher. 7. Cheating or using unfair means during tests / exams will lead to expulsion from school or cancellation of the paper with zero marks awarded in that test / exam. 1
3 8. There will be no formal tests for Nursery & K.G students during the year. Their promotion will be based on their performance in the class throughout the academic session. 9. It is mandatory for the parents to attend all Parent Teacher Meetings held during the session and meet every teacher teaching their ward. The schedule for these meetings is as under :- DATE NURSERY & K.G. I - V 03 May 2014 PTM PTM 19 July 2014 Open House Open House 06 September PTM 11 October 2014 PTM December PTM March 2015 PTM PTM 10. The report books will be given for Nursery and K.G. twice a year (October 2014 & March 2015) and for classes I to V three times in a year (September 2014, December 2014 & March 2015). PARENTS ARE REQUESTED TO SIGN AND SEND THE REPORT BOOK BACK IMMEDIATELY. 11. The students will receive certificates of merit for any outstanding quality and prizes for inter-class competitions and sports. 2
