1 The Federation of Grove House and King s Park Infant Schools Newsletter 16 th March 2018 Thank You Firstly we would like to say a massive thank you for supporting a variety of events over the last few weeks. We have seen reading cafes, maths cafes, PE cafes, Mother s Day and Monday Meets and without your support they would not be so successful. We have also had dress up days and today sees us celebrating, slightly belatedly due the snow, World Book Day. Again you haven t disappointed us with a wide variety of characters from the children s favourite books. Dance Show On a very snowy night in February 17 children from Grove House and King s Park took part in the Dance Festival at the Open in Norwich. The event was attended by a variety of schools from Norfolk. The children danced 2 performances to the song Dance Like a Dinosaur and all 17 children had a great experience on a large stage in front of an audience. Sport Relief We are taking part in Sports Relief on Friday 23 rd March. The children can come to school dressed as their favourite sporting hero or in sportswear for a donation of 1 towards Sports Relief. They will be taking part in a variety of sporting activities during the afternoon. Parents Evening Don t forget to sign up for an appointment with your child s class teacher to discuss their progress on Tuesday 20 th March between 3.30pm-7.30pm and Wednesday 21 st March between 2.00pm-6.00pm. Easter Egg Raffle Tickets go on sale from Monday 19 th March ( 1 a strip) for our Easter Egg Raffle. Please send money in a named envelope and we will send home raffle tickets. Prizes will be announced in the Celebration Assembly. Our excellent PSA is Judith Crane who can be contacted on

2 Celebration Assembly We will be holding our termly Celebration Assembly on the last day of term 28 th March. We will let you know by text if your child will be receiving an award but everyone is welcome to attend. Easter Holidays We hope you enjoy your Easter Holidays (last day 28 th March) and look forward to seeing you all on the 16 th April World Book Day Thank you for providing brilliant costumes for today s World Book Day it was definitely worth the wait!
