Recognised as one of the world s top three performing arts education institutions* the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland offers students a distinctive learning experience like nowhere else. We have been teaching in Glasgow for more than 170 years and this is the only place in Europe where all of the performing arts are taught within one campus. Students benefit from learning in a vibrant, collaborative environment and we are proud to programme over 100 courses for children and young people across the disciplines of dance, drama, music, production and film. Children can begin taking part from the age of one and can participate in a range of courses including weekly classes, short studies and summer schools. These open access courses create opportunities for everyone to engage with the performing arts, regardless of age or experience. The Centre for Lifelong Learning offers an inspiring programme for children and young people from 1 17 years of age including weekly classes, short studies, audition and interview preparation and summer schools. The majority of courses are open access and are designed to support students from a diverse range of backgrounds with varying levels of experience and skills. Additional Support Needs We welcome students with additional learning and support needs. All of our facilities are accessible and our Lifelong Learning team aims to ensure that adjustments are made to courses in order to support each individual's learning requirements. Financial support We want to ensure that as many people as possible can access our courses and offer numerous bursaries and scholarship support. For children aged 1 2 years, and their parents, these art forms are combined into one holistic class which introduces song, rhythm, movement and stories in a fun and nurturing environment. For children aged 3 7, the classes are scheduled to allow students the option to take part in one, two or three activities throughout the day. For music students there is the additional option to select a one-to-one instrumental class with our experienced music teachers. Afternoons delve deeper into a specialist area and work towards a final performance, design or film. All classes will challenge students to stretch their imagination and offer the chance to meet like-minded people in a fun and supportive environment. 13 Audition & Interview Audition and Interview Preparation Courses These courses are designed to support applicants through the process of preparing for auditions and interviews, and offer advice for succeeding on the big day. Students will be guided through the process of selecting and practising audition pieces, or preparing a portfolio for presentation.
