2 ON FRIDAY, 14th SEPTEMBER, 2018 VENUE: TRINITY LYCEUM, FATIMA ROAD, KOLLAM RULES AND REGULATIONS The tournament is open to all the students of ASISC schools in Kerala. Participants are expected to follow the directions and suggestions given by the officials, Volunteers and Organizers. The tournament will be conducted as per the rules and regulations of FIDE Laws of Chess taking effect from 1st January Age group and categories: Junior - Boys/Girls U/17 born on or after and studying in class XII but not below Std VI. Senior - Boys/Girls U/19 born on or after , and studying in class XII but not below Std VI. Number of rounds will be decided as per the number of participants. The decision of the officials/arbiters is final and binding on participants. All matters of dispute must be filed in writing endorsed by the team manager and coach with a fee of Rs. 500/- within 10 minutes of the event. If the appeal is upheld the deposit will be refunded; if not, the amount will be forfeited. Mobile phone is strictly prohibited inside the tournament hall. If any player s mobile phone rings during the tournament in the tournament hall, that player will be declared loser. No participant will be allowed to participate in the tournament without school identity card having Date of birth. (Birth Certificate to be produced with entry form at the time of registration.) Only those candidates whose registration froms are received in the school office through or registered post on or before Monday, the 20 th of August will be allowed to take part in the tournament. In case of any dispute the decision of the jury (Organising Principal and Chief Arbiter) will be final and binding. Spot entry will not be entertained. The organizers of the tournament reserve the right to make necessary changes pertaining to the tournament.

3 Number of participants per school One for each category. All participants should report at 8.30 a.m. Participants should bring their school ID cards, attested Birth Certificate copy and Eligibility Form. Participants should wear their school uniform. Time Break fast am Lunch pm Tea & Snacks pm Dinner pm Meals will be provided only on producing the coupons, issued by the host school at the time of registration. Participants and accompanying adults may purchase food coupons at the Reception Counter for Snacks/Lunch/Tea. Transportation The school volunteers will be receiving the participants if intimated earlier, at the railway station/bus stand. Transportation will be provided for the participants, from their place of stay to the venue. Accomodation Class room accommodation will be given to participants with the escorting teachers; Rs. 30 will be charged per head for classroom accommodation.
