As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we reflect on all that the Lord has provided us with this school year. This Thanksgiving let us give thanks for those of us who have much and pray for those who have little. Please remember as you gather at your family table, that rich or poor alike, we are called to serve one another and walk together with Christ s word in our hearts. Thanksgiving also provides a time to share memories with our families and friends and those most in need of food. As I close in thanking all of you, the families of Sacred Heart, I would like to share the following prayer with you and I ask God to continue to bless all of you for your support and dedication to Sacred Heart Catholic School. You are the best! Thanksgiving Day Prayer Father all-powerful, your gifts of love are countless and your goodness infinite. On Thanksgiving Day, we come before you with gratitude for your kindness. Open our hearts to concern for our fellow men and women, so that we may share your gifts in loving service. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. This could not have come together and gone so smoothly without your support. FOOD...FAMILY...FUN...THANKSGIVING! Cheer practices have been changed to Tuesday/Wednesday. Each fall our 5th grade students travel to Camp Kappe in Plantersville, TX, to attend the School of Environmental Education. For four days, students learn to be good stewards of our Godgiven resources through study of botany, wildlife, farm animals, gardening, and the interrelationships of humans and the environment.
