2 1. GURU POURNIMA As in our Indian culture Guru has the position of God, hence we celebrated the event of Guru Pournima on 26 th July This was the day of all the teachers of the college. Apart from all the academics this session gave a feeling of happiness to all the teachers. All the students are proud to have great teachers. Teachers also guided the students on this event to become the ideal personality in this world. This event gave a positive way of thinking to all the students. 2

3 2. TREE PLANTATION IN COLLEGE CAMPUS On 27 th July 2013 the Tree Plantation was done by NSS students under the guidance of Prof. S. S. Khule (NSS coordinator). The students and staffs of other departments also helped for tree plantation. For this ceremony many delegates were present such as Management member of Institute Hon. Er. Kunal Bhau Darade, Principal Dr. G.K. Kharate, Vice principal Dr. Varsha Patil, NSS Coordinator Prof S. S. Khule, Other departmental NSS Coordinators and other departmental HOD s and staffs. 3

4 3. INDEPENDANCE DAY On 15 th August 2013 Independence Day was celebrated by NSS Unit at MCOERC, Nasik. The flag hoisting ceremony was done by the Principal Dr. G. K. Kharate in the presence of Vice Principal Dr. V. H. Patil, all the heads of distinguished department, staff members & students. Dr. G.K. Kharate addressed the audiences. Some patriotic songs were sung by the students. The Program was concluded with Vande Mataram sung on the melody of flute by the students. 4

5 4. INDEPENDANCE DAY AS FULL ATTENDENCE DAY (FAD) On 15 th august 2013 we planned a different activity of celebrating Independence Day as a Full Attendance Day in the college. For the same purpose different social and cultural activities were carried out. On the same day, different competitions like debate and elocution competitions were carried out. All the students eagerly participated in all the activities and were very proud to be the part of our country India. 5

6 5. TEACHER S DAY Teachers day was celebrated on 5th September 2013, In the memories of Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan. On this occasion NSS Unit had organized a function under the guidance of Prof. S. S. Khule (NSS- Coordinator) in which teachers whose subject result was 100% were felicitated by the college. On this occasion Prof. U. P. Naik was felicitated as best teacher award. 6

7 6. TREE PLANTATION AT NEAREST VILLGE On 6 th Sept the tree plantation at the nearest village Lakhalgaon was carried out by the nss unit. On this occassion Sarpanch, Upsarpanch, all the Gram Panchayat members, Vice Principal Hon. Dr. Varsha Patil, Prof. N. L. Bhale and all the villagers were present. 7

9 7. ENGINEER S DAY On 15 th September 2013 Engineers day was organized under the NSS unit. On this occasion faculty members who were published & presented their papers in conferences were felicitated. Hon. Er. Kunal Bhau Darade, Principal of the institute Dr. G. K. Kharate, Vice-Principal Dr. V. H. Patil, all the head of departments, staff members & students. Chief Guest addressed the audiences giving an insight on the role of engineers in developing the nation. 9

10 8. NO VEHICLE DAY As pollution due to mobile sources is the problem of general interest in 21 st century, so we decided to celebrate 5 th Oct as the NO VEHICLE DAY. On this day all the college students were appealed to travel only in public transport and college buses. All the college buses were made free of cost to travel for the students on the particular day. 10

11 9. REPUBLIC DAY On 26 th January 2014 Republic Day was celebrated by NSS Unit at MCOERC, Nashik. The flag hoisting ceremony was done by the Hon. Kunal Bhau Darade in the presence of Principal Dr. G.K. Kharate, vice Principal Dr. V.H. Patil, all the head of distinguished department, staff members & students. Dr. G.K. Kharate addressed the audiences. Some patriotic songs were sung by the students. 11

12 10. BLOOD DONATION CAMP IN COLLEGE On 11 th February 2014 the blood donation program was organized by NSS Unit of MCOERC. The function was inaugurated by honorable Principal Dr. G. K. Kharate. Other delegates present for the function were Vice Principal Dr. V. H. Patil and all departmental HOD S. During this camp 100 to 150 people donated their blood. Approximately 100 blood bags were collected. The founder of blood bank appreciated work of NSS students and congratulated them. 12

TECHNICAL EVENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT (TECH-FEAST-2014) The NSS unit of MCOERC has taken an initiative to organize the technical events in the college on 11 th and 12 th Feb As we have to progress in the world, so we should be technically sound to face the world and this is the need of our society. Hence considering all these aspects NSS unit has taken an initiative to organize technical events and it was supported well by all the departments of the college. 13
