Please note the dates for NAPLAN. Pleasant Heights Public School will again be completing the paper version of NAPLAN. We were not chosen to complete NAPLAN online in. Cross Country Friday 6 April We hope you can join us for our Cross Country Carnival at PHPS. Primary events start at 9am, with infants joining in at 11am. Pizza and Popper lunch orders are due tomorrow Wednesday 4 April. P & C Disco 6 April pm The last date for Disco notes/money is tomorrow, Wednesday 4 April. If you have not already returned your notes/money. Please do so by tomorrow. Parent Teacher Interviews A reminder that parent teacher interviews are being held next week. If you have not yet been online to organise your time, please do so ASAP, bookings close 4pm today. Teachers look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child s progress next week. 2 TERM 1 ~ WEEK 10 Term 1 Sporting News This term has been extremely busy with many PHPS students attending Brokers, Northen Zone and South Coast trials, for a range of different sports. I would like to congratulate the following students for their efforts and achievements. South Coast Swimming Hailey D. - 50m Breastroke Iabella R. - 50m Butterfly Hunter H. 50m Butterfly Cricket Brokers team Hector J Remi C Soccer Trials Brokers Team Josh R Wil B. Oliver M. Northern Zone Soccer Oliver M Oliver will now travel to Shoalhaven Heads this Thursday for the South Coast trials. Good Luck Oliver! Rugby League Brokers Team Corey C Keiran C Kain C Netball Brokers team Hailey D Hailey will continue on to trial for the Northern Zone Trials later this week. Good luck Hailey! Basketball South Coast team Bronte Wilson Bronte will be travelling to Broken Hill later next term to compete in the NSWPSSA State Championships for the second year in a row. 3 TERM 1 ~ WEEK 10 I would also like to wish our PHPS Netball team good luck today who will be playing against Corrimal East Public School in the State Knockout Competition. 4 TERM 1 ~ WEEK 10 Uniform shop news So now we re into the final weeks of wearing summer uniform. Have you checked to see if your child s winter uniform still fits? Do you need more shirts? Does the zip on the jacket still work? I d like to thank everyone who has donated uniform items during Term 1. It would be good to have more winter items, so if you have shirts, tunics, jackets or long pants that your child has grown out of, just bundle them up and leave them at the front office. At present I have 5 boys ties and 7 girls ties ($5 each). As the old style summer dress is being phased out in Term 4, I no longer need donations of these. The uniform shop is open on Thursday mornings between 9 and 10am, but if that doesn t suit you, ring or text Nola ( ) and I can arrange to leave your order at the Front Office.
