I just want to take a little time to encourage all of SHCS families to come out and have fun Sunday in support of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. It is the Sacred Heart Catholic Church s annual Czech Festival. It will be held at the Crosby Fairgrounds, Sunday, October 7, from 11:30am to 5:00pm. There will be plenty of food, games and a Live and Silent Auction. Students who wear their NEW Spirit Shirt to the Czech Fest will receive 4 free game tickets. Find me to receive your tickets. Ms. Susan Harris World s Finest Chocolate October PTG Meeting World's Finest Chocolate Candy Fundraiser Money is due Thursday, October 11 1 Tuesday, October 9, at 6:30pm Gala Moms will be at the PTG meeting to collect donations and show class basket ideas. We have extended the donation deadline to November 5.

All classes have a Gala Mom representative and parents should have received a letter asking for monetary donations which are due by November 5. Are you looking to fulfill your volunteer hours or just want to help? We need moms, dads or a grandparent to help on either Tuesdays and/or Thursdays during the hours of 10:30 to noon. Duties could include pick up meals at nearby vendors/ distribute meals/ sell drinks/ serve food. We are looking for one volunteer per day. You pick the days you want to work. Here are a few of reminders for the car line and parking lot during Arrival & Dismissal: Sacred Heart is a NO CELL PHONE ZONE when operating a vehicle. Enter the parking lot through the EAST entrances. Do not enter through the EXIT to the west. Park in designated parking stalls. 6 Dear SHCS Families, Happy Fall! A great big thank you to all of you that have turned in Box Tops, Tyson labels, Coca- Cola Give codes and Community Coffee labels. Since August, we ve collected over 1,000 Box Tops and have input more than $50 worth of Coca-Cola Give codes. So, so awesome!! Keep em coming!! Some of you have seen your kiddos come home with prizes from our Box Tops Prize Box. If your child turns in one or more Box Tops, they are eligible to receive a prize. I m trying my best to issue prizes every Friday during lunch. If your child is absent, I will issue them their prize the following week. Please, please, please write your child s name and grade on the Box Tops baggie or sheet(s) that you turn in. I ve had several children approach me practically in tears because I didn t call their name during the prize give away and it s all because their name was not on their Box Tops. The other thing I ask is that you turn your Box Tops, labels and codes into your child s teacher via your child s daily folder. Each teacher has a pouch in their classroom that those things go in and that s what I pick up every week. Thank you! Now onto the BIG NEWS a Box Tops CONTEST has started! From October 1 October 18 we want you to send in all the Box Tops that you have. Several will expire November 1 st so now is the time to get them dusted off and turned in. The class that submits the most Box Tops will win a goody bag from me. The winning class will be announced Friday, October 19. Your child will still get to pick a prize from the Box Tops Prize Box as we go. For a list of participating products, visit Once again, there are multiple ways to collect and save your labels. First, please make sure to cut along the dashed lines of your bags and boxes. Defaced labels cannot be submitted and end up being discarded. Expired labels are also rejected. Once you have your label, please either store it in a plastic baggie or, if it is a Box Top, secure it to a collection sheet. Please do not overlap the Box Tops on the sheet. All information printed on the Box Top must be legible when submitted. The big Bonus Box Tops are best stored in a baggie as they must be submitted separately.
