We went there to see what High School is like; we had a great time! We were split into groups with the other schools and participated in many activities. The activities were cooking, PE, bracelet making, science, history and Chinese. We had a sausage sizzle for lunch and met the new Principal, his name is Mr Roger (he is a nice guy). 3 Book Club Closing Date The current issue of Bookclub closes on Friday, September 14th. Please ensure you have your order in by the due date to avoid disappointment Library News: The Premier's Reading Challenge The 2018 Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) closes today! All Student Reading Record Sheets are now due back to Mrs Taylor, in the library. 4 Coles Sports for Schools A very big thank you to the CEPS community for supporting our school through the Coles Sports Vouchers. Last week we received our brand new sports equipment! Right Molly, Amity & Taylah show off our new equipment! Arriving at School Well done! Early arrivals at school have now been rectified. Parents are reminded that school supervision starts at 8:30am. No student/s are to be at school before 8:30am. On another note, parents are reminded that all students should be arriving at school in time for 9am Morning Messages. Some students are habitually late and this is now being monitored by the NSWDoE Home School Liaison Officer, please ensure your child is at school at 9:00am! If they are late (because they have been at an appointment) please ensure a parent brings him/her to the office and they are appropriately signed in with the front office staff. Mr Darcey
5 Teachers Learning Together Did you know that once every term, the teachers and principals from the Corrimal Community of Primary Schools (Corrimal PS, Corrimal East PS, Bellambi PS, Tarrawanna PS & Towradgi PS) come together in what we call a Teach Meet to share ideas, resources and the collective wisdom across our schools? Our Term 3 Teach Meet occurred this Tuesday afternoon. The teaching staff from the Corrimal Community of Schools are to be congratulated for their professionalism and dedication. Well done everyone!
