Stevenson High School Course description Division: World Languages Course number: FRE101/FRE102 Course title: French 1 Course description: French 1 is an introduction to French language and culture. Students are introduced to the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. French is spoken in the classroom to introduce and practice oral patterns. Students are expected to participate actively and cooperatively in classroom activities, such as guided conversations, reading and writing activities, and short presentations. Cultural information and geography of the francophone world is integrated into the curriculum. Tests and quizzes will assess reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills.
