1 CCSS for English Language Arts Grades K 5 RFS Alignment to Reading: Foundational Skills This document explains how Lexia Reading Core5 aligns with the Grade-Level Specific Standards for English Language Arts in Reading: Foundational Skills. Lexia Reading Core5 offers four components: a series of online, individualized learning activities that students complete independently; Lexia Lessons, which are targeted teacher-led lesson plans for explicit instruction; Lexia Skill Builders, which are paper-based practice materials designed to promote automaticity and allow for generalization and expansion of skills; and Lexia Instructional Connections, which are strategies and routines to structure individual and group activities that integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
