10 2 Part 1 For ease of use, this Teacher s Book has been divided into two distinct parts. The first part gives a comprehensive introduction, which expains the teaching method in detai. It is a good idea to read this part of the Teacher s Book before using the Grammar 2 Pupi and Teacher s Books in the cassroom. The second part of the Teacher s Book provides a thorough and structured esson pan for each day of teaching. The esson pans in this part of the book are designed specificay for use with the corresponding pages in the Grammar 2 Pupi Book. The Grammar 2 Pupi and Teacher s Books are designed to foow on from the Grammar 1 Pupi and Teacher s Books. They are intended to: introduce new eements of grammar, teach new speing patterns systematicay, deveop dictionary and thesaurus skis, improve vocabuary and comprehension, and reinforce the teaching in the Grammar 1 Pupi and Teacher s Books. Like the activities in the Joy Phonics and Grammar 1 Pupi Books, the teaching in the Grammar 2 Pupi Book is mutisensory and active. In the Grammar 2 Pupi Book, particuar emphasis is paced on consoidating the chidren s earning and heping them to appy their new skis. The chidren are aso introduced to new speing patterns and parts of speech. As before in the Grammar 1 Pupi Book, each part of speech is introduced with an accompanying action and coour. The actions not ony eniven the teaching, but aso make the parts of speech easier for the chidren to remember. The coours, which are usefu when identifying and abeing parts of speech in sentences, are the same as those used in Montessori Schoos.
