1 Vocabulary Activity Part Two V Materials: Vocabulary Activity Cards, page 42 Vocabulary Activity Defiitios for Wall, page 43 Vocabulary Activity Studet s Worksheet, page 44 Aswers: Vocabulary Activity Studet s Worksheet, page 55 Preparatio: Make oe copy of pages 42 ad 43, lamiate ad cut alog lies. Make oe copy of page 44 for each pair ad cut alog lie. Time: 15 miutes A class-migle vocabulary ad defiitio matchig activity. 1. Put the Vocabulary Activity Defiitios for Wall cards from page 43 aroud the classroom at eyelevel. I pairs, studets walk aroud ad read the defiitios. 2. Each pair takes oe of the Vocabulary Activity Cards from page 42, ad walks aroud the classroom to fid the correct defiitio for their vocabulary item (checkig with the teacher for cofirmatio) ad sticks their card ext to the defiitio. 3. Make copies of pages 42 ad 43 o differet coloured paper for each group of 12 studets. - Fewer tha 12 studets? Use half of the vocabulary item ad defiitio cards, ad repeat Steps 2-4 with the other half of the cards. Step 4 optio: Add some fu by testig your studets memory of the vocabulary items before hadig out the Vocabulary Activity Studet s Worksheet. Read out the vocabulary defiitios ad have studets (i groups) write dow the vocabulary item. Write the first letter of each word o the whiteboard as a clue, if ecessary.
