1 Instructional Areas ONTARIO LANGUAGE MATHEMATICS READING Tests Growth: Language 2-12 ON 2006 Growth: Math K-2 ON 2005 Growth: Math 2-5 ON 2005 Growth: Math 6+ ON 2005 Growth: Reading K-2 ON 2006 Growth: Reading 2-5 ON 2006 Growth: Reading 6+ ON 2006 Standards Ontario Curriculum Language Arts: 2006 Ontario Curriculum Mathematics: 2005 Instructional areas and sub-areas are derived from the structure of state academic standards. The general content areas that appear across grade levels in a set of standards become the instructional areas. Instructional areas are further divided into common instructional sub-areas. Content Specialists align items from the NWEA item bank to these standards. The MAP Growth assessments and associated reports for teachers and students are based upon this alignment and grouping of standards. NWEA All rights reserved.
