3 How to Deliver: High-Frequency Words Teacher Guided Single Word 1. Teacher and students point to the word.. Teacher reads the word.. Students read the word.. Teacher and students alternate reading the word times. Repeat for each unique word on the page. Set of Words The set of words can be a row, column, or diagonal group of words in the table.. Teacher reads the set of words while students point to the words.. Students read the set of words while pointing to the words.. Teacher selects students and checks their accuracy and fluency while they read the set of words. CFU Effective Feedback Whole Class Considerations Re-read the word to the class. Have the class re-read the word. Individual Student Considerations Have the whole class re-read the word. Then have the student re-read the word. Teacher re-reads the word and student repeats. If student still cannot read the word(s), continue teaching the class and address the individual s needs at a later time.
