3 Energy Conservation Calendar Dear Friends, This calendar is the result of Keys Energy Services (KEYS) 22nd annual calendar art contest for all elementary school students within KEYS Service Area. The contest is part of a continuing effort by KEYS to increase awareness about energy conservation. Entry forms were sent out in early spring to the elementary schools within KEYS Service Area, including public, private, and charter schools. Over 2,000 entries were submitted and a panel of KEYS employees selected one overall winner and two winners from each grade level to grace the pages of this calendar. The overall winner was Addison Reeves, a fourth grade student from the Big Pine Academy (see photo, inset). Her artwork is featured on the cover of this calendar. The winning artists that grace the pages of the following 12 months are: Kindergarten: Marina Livengood & Ella Wright First Grade: Ana Gabriela Hinojosa & Gabriella Rodriguez Second Grade: Hailey Morales & Shahrizoda Yusupova Third Grade: Kennedy Kelshall & Isabel Marsh Fourth Grade: Lula Rouse & Kayden Standard Fifth Grade: Brooklyn Allman & Vera Rodger The 13 winners were recognized for their achievement at the April 11, 2018, Utility Board meeting where they were presented with a certificate of achievement and a $50.00 gift card.
