9 Top 10 Tips Top 15 Exam Tips (night before/ on the day) 1. Organise your study space and time. 1. Get a goodnight sleep. 2. Use diagrams to visualise your work and answers. 2. Pack all your stationery and equipment ready for tomorrow s exam. 3. Practise exam papers/attend all revision sessions. 3. Check your timetable and time of the exam. 4. Explain your answers to others. 4. Wake up early so you don t need to rush through having breakfast and getting ready (remember give yourself time to get to school). 5. Organise study groups with friends. 5. Eat a balanced breakfast, bananas are a good option. 6. Take regular breaks, reward yourself. 6. Make one more check that you have all you need, stationery. 7. Snack on brain food. 7. Avoid people who are panicking, get your mind-set on the exam. 8. Don t stress tackle one thing at a time, relax. 8. Look over model answers from your flash cards, revision book or exercise book. 9. Get enough sleep. 9. Drink some water to keep you hydrated. 10. Plan your exam day. 10. Go to the toilet before the exam starts. The exam can be long and you don t want to waste your exam time going to the toilet. 11. Read the question carefully before starting, quickly plan how much time to allocate to each (look at the marks and use that as a guide). 12. If you freeze in the exams underline key information and write down what you know visualise your plan, you will start to remember more details and methods. 13. Don t be afraid to leave questions, mark them with a star so that you can come back to them later. Keep an eye on the TIME. 14. Don t waste a minute in the exam, if you done all you can, check and recheck, this time will not come again (look on the back of the paper), review your answers. Ask yourself have you done what they have asked you to do? 15. After an exam relax drink water and don t dwell on the exam, move onto the next one. Read the question! Read the question!
