6 Page 1 Introduction 1. This document contains financial and statistical data that supplement the Technical Cooperation (TC) Report for The information is grouped under three headings, Resources and Contributions, Actuals and Implementation Summaries 1, and Non-financial Indicators. A. Resources and Contributions The financial tables and graphs in this section show the resources received from various sources for TC activities. B. Actuals and Implementation Summaries The financial tables and graphs in this section show actuals (monetary outlays) and implementation against the programme for the year 2013 (budget as at year end). C. Non-financial Indicators TC programme delivery can be expressed in both financial and non-financial terms. Nonfinancial delivery (outputs) can be expressed numerically in terms of, for example, experts deployed or training courses conducted. The tables and graphs in this section provide figures for the outputs delivered through the TC programme. 2. Unless otherwise specified, all figures in this document are expressed in Euro, which has been the functional currency for the TC programme since January For comparison purposes, figures in the document that have already been presented to the Board in US dollars are presented in this document in Euro, using the United Nations rate of exchange (UNROE). For all pre-2011 figures, the UNROE for 31 December 2010 of is used. Due to rounding, amounts in tables may not add up exactly to the totals shown. 3. The countries are grouped by technical cooperation (TC) programme region in most of the tables. A list of Member States in each TC region is provided online at: Africa region Asia and the Pacific region Europe region Latin America region 4. The information contained in this Supplement is available in electronic form upon request. It is also available to registered users on GovAtom. 1 Terminology has changed with the implementation of AIPS/Oracle. Encumbrances are the equivalent of obligations, and actuals are the equivalent of disbursements.

7 Page 2 A. Resources and Contributions Table A.1: Available resources, This table shows resources by source of funding for the past decade, based on the year in which the funds became available. Technical Cooperation Fund (TCF) other income includes national participation costs (NPCs) and assessed programme cost (APC) arrears received and miscellaneous income. Other resources (extrabudgetary funds from Member States, organizations and in-kind contributions) are shown separately. Table A.2: Technical Cooperation Fund, This table shows the ten year trend in the development of the target for contributions to the TCF, amounts pledged and payments against these pledges. The rate of attainment is obtained by dividing the payments made to the TC Fund by the TCF target for a given year. Table A.3: Member State contributions pledged and paid to the Technical Cooperation Fund, This table reports on pledges and payments to the 2013 TCF, against the 2013 target of 71.4 million. The table is sorted according to the percentage of their portion of the rate of attainment paid by each country. Of the 160 States that were Members of the IAEA in 2013, 85 paid their share in full (or exceeded it), 20 made partial payments, and 55 made no payment in Table A.4: Assessed programme cost arrears and national participation costs 9. Part A of this table reports on APC arrears as of 31 December 2013, presented in US dollars. Part B of the table presents amounts invoiced for 2013 under the NPC mechanism, together with amounts received as of 31 December Figures in part B are presented in Euros (the amounts reported in 2011 in US dollars were converted to Euros). Table A.5: Status of extrabudgetary funds, This table shows the status of extrabudgetary donor contributions to the TC programme. Part B of the table shows contributions from countries to their own TC projects, designated government cost-sharing. Table A.6: In-kind support, This table shows in-kind support provided by 103 Member States and six international organizations. For in-kind support, resources and delivery are equal. Table A.7: Payments to TC programme resources, This table lists, by Member State and international organization, payments received during 2013 through all TC programme funding mechanisms (TCF, APC arrears, NPCs, extrabudgetary and inkind). TCF amounts include payments against programme years up to and including 2013.
