2 JPPSS Academics 4 th Grade In this document, you will find a sample district pacing calendar for 4 th grade math. The pacing calendar is designed to follow the parish adopted curriculum, envisionmath Common Core. This document is only a sample. You have the option of creating your own to best meet the learning needs of your students. There are four major assessments that referenced in this pacing calendar. Two of the assessments, Benchmark One and Benchmark Two, will be designed by the district. The Benchmark One Assessment Window opens November 2 nd. The Benchmark Two Assessment Window opens February 22 nd. The other two assessments will be provided by the state. Phase One of the state s spring testing window is March 14 th 18 th. Phase Two of the state s spring testing window is April 25 th -29 th. In order to ensure your students are best prepared for these four assessments, there are specific CCSS that must be taught and mastered prior to the tests being administered. These standards are listed in the table, Calendar Overview, located on page three of this document. If you need more detailed information about each standard, please reference your school s copy of the Common Core State Standards Deconstructed for Classroom Impact document. For more information on the Major Clusters for 4 th grade, please reference the Focus in Grades K-8 document (located at
