3 Registra on: The late registra on fee is charged when payment is received by the school beyond the closing date for registra on. This closing date is a er the first evening of class in of the term. Withdrawal & Refunds For current informa on, please go to: h p://cnso.nova.edu/academics/course catalog/index.html For Session I and Summer Term: Before the end of the 1 st week of a session 100% refund Before the 2 nd class mee ng (end of 2 nd week for online students) 75% refund Before the 3 rd class mee ng (end of 3 rd week for online students) 50% refund A er 3 rd mee ng or week 0% refund For Session II: Before session II begins 100% refund Before end of the 1 st week of session II 75% refund A er the 1 st week of session II 0% refund Academic Standing: The academic progress of all students will be evaluated a er each term, including the summer term. Students shall be deemed in good academic standing unless they have a cumula ve GPA of less than 3.0. Any student who fails to maintain the 3.0 will be placed on academic proba on for two terms. If proba on is not removed at the end of two terms, the student may be suspended from the program. Students who have reason to believe that there has been an error in assigning a grade may formally protest and invoke the Grade Appeal Procedure. Seminar/Defense A endance Requirements: As part of the core curriculum, all students in the M.S. and Ph.D. programs are required to a end a minimum of 8 seminars. Distance students can fulfill this requirement through Blackboard class management system (Shark Media). Capstone/Thesis Credit Registra on: Commencement of the M.S. Capstone/Thesis may begin only a er the M.S. student has an approved proposal. Students not yet having approved proposals, but desire to prepare them under guidance, should register for the directed independent study credits under their major professors sec on of the appropriate course number.
