It will be held on Saturday, March 5 th, 2016 at the Steveston Indoor Tennis Court beginning at 9:00 AM. We are planning well ahead to have a safe, fair, and friendly tournament. Competition will start from Paddle Kumite, Team Kata, Kata Div. W, and Master s Div. Kata and Kumite. Events: Kata: All divisions will use the flag system except team Kata. Repeating the same Kata is allowed except in Div. 7, 10, 13, 16, 17, 54, 57, 60, 63 and 64. Jr. Team Kata Div. T-1 (One round 3 men. 3 women or mixed. Novice) 17 yrs & under Jr. Team Kata Div. T-2 (One round 3 men. 3 women or mixed. Intermediate) 17 yrs & under Jr. Team Kata Div. T-3 (One round 3 men. 3 women or mixed. Advanced/Black) 17 yrs & under Jr. Team Kata Div. T-4 (One round 3 men. 3 women or mixed. Any Belt) 17 yrs & under Div. W, 500 and 600 will use WKF rule. Kumite: All divisions are free sparing and stop time. First to get 6 points wins. 13yrs and under : 1.5 minutes. Div. 31, 34, 35, 81, 84 and 85 and up: 2 minutes matches. *WKF Div. (Sr. Women & Men s Black Belt Div) minute (men), 2 minute (women) and no extended time for medal round. Awards: Kata: 1 st, 2 nd and two 3 rd place. Kumite: 1 st, 2 nd and two 3 rd place.
