II Timothy 3:16-17 states it clearly, 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Successful Biblical counseling is realized as individuals are pointed to Christ and, through the process of spiritual growth, come to understand the benefits of an intimate relationship with Jesus through prayer and careful study of the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the guide and source of illumination to the Word of God. Thus, Christ-centered counseling is based on the practical application of Biblical principles in the life of the individual. As Christians, we understand that our ways are not God s ways. (Isaiah 55:8-9) Our goal is to help families operate from a Biblical Worldview. That is, to view the world through the lens of the Truth of Scripture. We are blessed to know the Lord cares for our every need. Mr. Frimmel, Principal

2 Lunch with the Principal for the All A Honor Roll recipients is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24th. Lunch is provided for your child. Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets will be served, along with chips, lemonade (or water) and a Rice Krispy treat during your child s regular lunch period. Last week we sent report cards electronically for the first time! If you are active on SchoolWorx and have asked to receive notifications, you will receive an notifying you that you have a report to view. If you have not asked SchoolWorx to receive notifications, your student s report card will still be there, but you will not be alerted to it. SchoolWorx is a great tool for parents to stay engaged with their student s education and also makes it easier to connect with your student s teacher(s). Haven t signed up yet? It is not too late to sign up for SchoolWorx. The application can be found on the school website under the tab labeled Lion s Roar. School Pictures Thank you for your patience as we navigate the waters with LifeTouch, our new school portraits company. VCS did not receive order forms before class pictures/retakes/ senior pictures were taken on Dec. 13th, which means you may not have ordered pictures even though you may have wanted to! The good news is, pictures can still be ordered by calling LifeTouch at They may ask for the following Picture Day ID numbers: FT927017Q0 FT927010G0 For Individual pictures For Class ( Group ) pictures We are told that proofs of senior pictures were sent directly to families through both and regular mail. If you have questions about your senior pictures, please contact the LifeTouch Senior Studio at Senior pictures are uploaded to PhotoTracker, the LifeTouch online site for Seniors. Once those images are approved by the students (or parents), you'll need to "close out" Photo- Tracker, indicating that the Senior pictures are ready to go. You should have been provided with the PhotoTracker link. If you need that link, or instructions, please contact Randy Breit at for assistance. 2

3 AWARDS CHAPEL Next Friday, January 26th, we will be holding an Awards Chapel to recognize the academic achievements of our students for the 1st Quarter of the school year. This special chapel is an opportunity for students with Straight A s or All A s and B s to be recognized in front of their peers and teachers. We cordially invite families to attend Awards Chapel, to see their students acknowledged for academic excellence. Students always enjoy having their families come to campus!
