2 Why Education is a fundamental right in India. But there are children in every part of the country who do not exercise this right. Thousands of children do not go to schools or drop out of them very soon due to their financially constrained background. There are millions of children who are trapped in this vicious cycle of poverty and illiteracy.

3 What VVS Foundation was found in the year 2012, to enrich the lives of these children and to catalyze a socio economic change in India. We are an NGO raising money from individuals and corporate sponsorships to provide qualitative education as well as sports coaching to the meritorious and skilled children. The VVS Foundation believes every child with Potential must be given the opportunity to flourish, and that financial impediments should not be a hindrance. Our aim is to stand for individuals who aspire to rise high but are held back by affordability issues.

4 Who The Founder : Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman, Fondly known as V.V.S. Laxman, Padma Shri awardee, former legendary cricketer firmly believes in honing the talent of young enthusiastic minds who due to lack of affordability don t atain the desired results. He wants to promote all those aspiring youngsters who aim for the stars but the clouds of gloominess overshadow their aspirations. The Director: Mrs. Sailaja Laxman, a philanthropist by nature, is very passionate about education. She personally feels that if proper education and guidance is given to students coming from economically weaker section of the society, they can shine

5 How o VVS Foundation adopts a unique procedure of selection. We conduct a series of aptitude and skill tests and those who qualify are eligible for the grant of scholarship. o Currently, we provide two such scholarships, 1) Satya Ram Scholarship for Education constituted in the name of renowned doctors and parents of Mr. Laxman, Dr. V. Shantaram and Dr. V. Satyabhama. 2) Baba Krishna Mohan Scholarship constituted in the name of Mr. Laxman's uncle and mentor whos was a great influence in carving his cricketing career will be given to talented Sports persons.

6 Mission Our mission is to support as many less fortunate children as possible who have the need, aptitude, skills, commitment, and the desire to achieve their dreams. Every child chosen, every child who will achieve success will be a role model. Our vision is to bring up and deliver as many achievers to this country as possible. Because, we in VVS Foundation believe that every child is a champion.

7 Vision The vision of this foundation is to build a Sports school in Hyderabad with top class sporting facilities adhering to international standards where quality education with all-round development is given to students. Every child with inclination and skills towards Sports will be given Professional coaching to achieve their dreams. 8 Current Work We have sponsored more than 100 children coming from economically weaker section of the society. They are now studying in schools imparting quality education. Some of the schools we are proud to be a partner with are Sreenidhi international, Sujatha High School, Oxford Grammer school, Gautam Model School and also, are supporting 4 IIT students.
