2 -WIDE CALENDAR WAIVER REQUEST These are weather-related waiver requests, based on the eligibility criteria of more than 8 missed instructional days in 4 of the last 10 years. Note: All s eligible under the statute requested waivers. Requests for -Wide Calendar Waivers for the School Year Effective July 1, 2005, House Bill1464, states that the opening date for students shall not be before August 25, and closing date shall not be after June10. The State Board of Education may waive the opening and closing date requirement for any within a county that has been closed eight or more days per year during any four of the last ten years because of severe weather conditions, energy shortages, power failures or other emergency situations.
