Russell, Superintendent of Schools School Board Members Eric Holland, Assistant Director Digital Learning and Assessment 2017 GRADE 3 FSA READING RESULTS The 2017 grade 3 FSA Reading results have been released. This is the third administration of the Florida Standards Assessment. This assessment is based on the Florida Standards, adopted in Achievement Level scores range from 1, which is the lowest, to 5, which is the highest. An Achievement Level of 3 is considered satisfactory for each grade level. A district summary is provided below, followed by school level data. Grade 3 FSA Reading 59% of Volusia students scored at level 3 or higher, which is higher than the state average of 58%. 17% of Volusia students scored at level 1, which is better than the state average of 19%. The percentage of students scoring at level 3 or higher in Volusia increased 3 points and continues to be above the state average. The school district will explore the data further and collaborate with program staff and schools to disaggregate trends and determine strategies for improving achievement in Please contact me at extension if you have questions or need additional information.
