12 Global «Education First» Initiative (GEFI) Aims: Raise the political profile of education Strengthen the global movement to achieve quality education Generate funding through advocacy efforts 3 priority areas: 1. Put every child in school: Equitable Access 2. Improve the quality of learning: Effective learning 3. Foster global citizenship: relevance of learning

Sec. of High-Level Steering Committee 10 (initial) Champion Countries who galvanize support for GEFI > Tunisia Roadmap of key actions- align with EFA

Relevance: How do we ensure that an international development agenda post-2015 is relevant to all countries? 2. Focus: How do we ensure that education plays a central role in the post development agenda? 3. How do we ensure an equity focus for education in the post-2015 agenda? 4. EFA+/MDG+: a single framework?

17 Our regional roadmap Agree on the content of the EFA regional report and deadlines for its development; Integrate the ARAIEQ program as qualitative inputs to the regional EFA report; Plan for the organization of the EFA regional Conference in 2014; Agree on roles and responsibilities of the of the EFA partners in the EFA 2015 Review.
