You might use this to help you remember the states: My new hampster, Vera May, crossed the road to New York. While she was there she bought a pen, a new jersey, and presents for Mary and Dela. Here are tips for studying these states that were suggested by your classmates: Use the blank map in your packet to practice placing each state in the correct location. You can also play map games on the computer. Some suggested websites are: Choose Grade Level 3-5 on Ben Franklin s kite. Select Games and Activities from the chalkboard. Choose Interactive Games, then choose Place the State. You can choose to play either Level 1, 2, or 3. If you choose the correct answer, stars will appear and a sound will be heard.
