22 Important Notes on Assessment Be punctual for all school assessments. The school will decide, on a case-bycase basis, whether a latecomer is granted extra time or even allowed to sit for the paper he/she is late for.

30 Parent Involvement in Schools According to Harris and Robinson (2016), it is important for parents to convey the importance of education to their children and maintain an environment in which learning can flourish.

31 Parent Involvement in Schools We seek your guidance and support in your child s learning by ensuring that he/she: 1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day s learning experience. 2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers. 3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

33 Parent Involvement in Schools It is important to teach our students to take responsibility for their own belongings. We can do this by: inculcating the habit of checking for the items they need to bring refraining from delivering items unless they are critical ones, such as wallets, bus pass, medicine, spectacles or house keys. Making students think on their feet and find their own solutions on those occasions when they have forgotten to bring an item to school.
