In the sections that follow, please use sub-numbering as appropriate (eg. 3.1, 3.2, etc.) 3.0 Goals of the course (including rationale for the course, when appropriate): 3.1 To introduce students to statistical process control concepts and methods. 3.2 To introduce students to acceptance sampling concepts and methods. 3.3 To introduce students to process capability concepts and methods. 3.4 To provide students with the appropriate tools and techniques to design, implement, and monitor process control, process capability, and acceptance sampling studies. 4.0 Course description (as it will appear in the RIT Catalog, including pre- and corequisites, and quarters offered). Please use the following format: COS-STAT-621 Statistical Quality Control A practical course designed to provide in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of statistical process control, process capability, and acceptance sampling.
