When you have completed all the items listed, contact your regional representative for Global Teen Challenge or Most of the materials listed on this application are available on-line at the iteenchallenge.org website You can also access these materials at the following web link: Please view the materials from the website and print them as instructed as you follow this application. Many of these materials will be used on a regular basis as you teach the PSNC classes. One of the key parts of this PSNC Teacher Certification Training is to go through all the student materials used in the PSNC classes. You will need a complete set of all the PSNC student materials. If you do not have these at your ministry, then you can order these from Global Teen Challenge. (This is available for persons outside the USA.) The four textbooks used for this certification course should also be at your place of ministry. They are Teaching to Change Lives, Creative Bible Teaching, How to be a People Helper, and Personal Studies for New Christians: Set Up Procedures (This last book is only available from Teen Challenge USA or Global Teen Challenge). If you do not have them, please order them from the Teen Challenge International, USA Curriculum office or through your local bookstore. Important Notice Audio & Video sessions This certification course uses audio and video sessions as part of this training. Each session has an mp3 audio file listed as well as PowerPoint and study guide that can be downloaded. Many of these sessions also have the video available at the bottom of their corresponding download page. These sessions can be accessed at the website or directly at this link l. Download, print and complete Teacher Training Lesson One, Who am I as a Teacher? It s in Section One of the Teacher Certification materials. Print it, read it, and answer all the questions. 5. Download, print and complete Teacher Training Lesson Two, Philosophy of Education. It s in Section One of the Teacher Certification materials. Print it, read it, and answer all questions. 6. Listen to or view Session #2P entitled How Can I Train New Christians. 7. Read over Project 30l, I m Here! 8. Download and read the Teacher s Guide for Project 30l, I m Here! It s in Section 4 of the Teacher Certification materials. 9. Complete student Lesson 101, Does God Have Plans for My World? Read it through and fill in all the answers just like each student will do. 10. Download, print and complete Teacher Training Lesson 3 The Role of the Teacher. It is in Section l. 11. Listen to or view Session #3P Introducing the PSNC, and #4P entitled Individualized Education: What it s all about. 12. Read through the student manual for the Scripture Memorization Class.

3 Page Work through the Scripture Memorization Class Worksheet using a Bible verse of your choice. Do your work on a blank sheet of paper or download the Scripture Memorization Class Worksheet. It s in Section 3 of your Teacher Certification materials. 14. Listen to or View Session #5P titled, Achievement, Grading, and Testing in the PSNC, and Session 7P, How to use the Daily Goal Sheet. 15. Setting personal application goals is one of the most important skills we want to develop in the lives of our students. It is also one of the most difficult skills to learn in the PSNC classes. Please discuss your goals with another teacher who is already PSNC certified at your place of ministry. If no other teacher is fully certified, you can discuss your goals with one who is presently working on their certification. Use the Marks of a good personal application goal on the back page of your Scripture Memorization Class student manual as a guide in evaluating your goals. If you revise your goals, send in your revised goals with the rest of the materials requested for your provisional certification. 16. Read through the student manual of the Personal Reading Class. You may want to use this pattern as you read some of your textbooks, for example, Teaching to Change Lives. 17. Download and read the Teacher s Manual for the Personal Reading Class. It s in Section Read the book, Teaching to Change Lives, by Howard Hendricks (Multnomah Press) Download, print and use the Reading Project Record Sheet in your Teacher Certification materials (Section 1) to keep track of your progress on reading this book. 19. Read through and complete Lesson 102, A New Look at Life. 20. Read the student manual for the Bible Reading Class, pages Skim over pages

4 Page Download and read the Teacher s Guide for the Bible Reading Class. (Section 4) 22. Read through the student manual for the Character Qualities Class. Read carefully pages Skim pages Note how the Character Qualities Class Checklist is used in relation to the regular learning activities listed on pages 4-6 of the student manual. (Download the sample Character Qualities Class Checklist in Section 3 of your Teacher Certification materials.) 23. Complete the work for one Character Quality using the regular learning activities listed on pages 4-6 of the student manual. 24. Complete one of the following lessons: 103, 104, 105, l06. Circle the one you complete for this part. 25. Listen to or view Session #8P entitled Helping Students set Personal Application Goals. 26. Download and read over all the materials in Section 3 of your Teacher Certification materials. Note how each worksheet and record sheet fits into the total educational program. 27. Listen to or view Session #9P, Counseling in the PSNC Classroom. 28. Read through and complete Lesson 108, Who Is God? 29. Read through and complete Lesson 109, God s Plan for the Family.

Listen to or view Session #10P entitled, How to Set Up the PSNC Educational Program. 32. If you are the person in charge of the PSNC classes at your place of ministry, then you need to complete item 32. If someone else at your ministry is in charge of these classes, then put his or her name here. Read through the book entitled, Personal Studies for New Christians: Set Up Procedures. This book gives additional information on how to set up your PSNC classroom. 33. Download and read through all the items in Section One of your Teacher Certification materials which explain how to operate a PSNC individualized educational program. A. Why does Teen Challenge exist? B. Personal Studies for New Christians and Accelerated Christian Education. C. Operating the Personal Studies for New Christians Classroom. D. Sequencing of lessons for the PSNC Classes. (Very Important!) F. Procedures for ordering the PSNC student materials.

Please send in this entire application with the following items: (Please initial them and send them all at one time.) 1. Your work on the scripture verse that you chose for # Your work on the character quality you chose for # Teacher Training Lessons 1, 2, & Reading Project Record Sheet for Teaching to Change Lives. These items will be returned to you with your Provisional PSNC Teacher s Certificate.
