3 Rich Task Sociology Assessment Title: Explain who was to blame for the Hillsborough Disaster incident? This assessment is testing your ability to explain things clearly, using the evidence you have prepared. The assessment is testing 3 really important skills in Sociology Using your sociological knowledge (LO6) o TIP: Make sure you link responses to parts of the events - give specific examples. The assessment is testing 3 really important skills in Geography: Using your geographical knowledge (LO6) o TIP: Make sure you know what climate change is and give some evidence to prove it happens. Describe and explain why things happened (LO1) o TIP: Describe how humans have needed more energy, how they get it and the effects it has had on planet Earth. 5 Grammar Reading Comprehension Assessment This assessment is testing your ability to correctly apply the below content domains: The assessment is testing 5 important reading comprehension skills: 2d make inferences from the text / explain and justify inferences with evidence from the text. 2f identify / explain how information / narrative content is related and contributes to meaning as a whole. 2a give / explain the meaning of words in context. 2e predict what might happen from details stated and implied 2c summarise main ideas from more than one paragraph o TIP: The content domain sets out the relevant elements from the national curriculum programme of study. The tests willsample from each area of the content domain. The tests will focus on the comprehension elements of the national curriculum. Languages It is a written test so you must focus on accuracy. Spellings are important. Less is more though. For example, adjectives spelt correctly is much much better than 8 different adjectives spelt poorly. You must answer all bullet points. You are marked on content. You need to be able to write in French/Spanish about the following: Try to include a variety of opinions, reasons and tenses. Team Activities: We will set up a game situation to allow the following to be assessed: Perform a variety of skills with fluency and control in practice, copying them effectively to allow them to be used with some pressure applied (conditioned game situation) PE Be able to take these skills into a game based situation Be aware of the best time to select and use the correct skills or identify when they should have used a particular skill Begin to show an understanding of strategies and tactics which they can use to overcome opponents to make them successful in their performance Understand the need for team work and be able to utilise their team mates in games to allow for the best performance by the team
