1 M A P P I N G T H E S I T U AT I O N O F R O M A I N C I T I E S This year marks the mid-term review of the EU Roma Framework for the National Roma Integration Strategies up to With this occasion, the European Commission has launched a reflection on the past achievements and what the future EU approach to Roma inclusion should be after EUROCITIES is taking the opportunity to collect evidence of the situation of Roma in cities through a mapping exercise. The mapping explores the characteristics of Roma communities living in our cities, the challenges they face and the city responses to these. The objective of the mapping exercise is to produce an overview of the situation of Roma in our cities, including a cross-city analysis of the key challenges and some case studies on good practice examples of effective actions for Roma inclusion at city level. This is a key opportunity for EUROCITIES and its members to identify common challenges and showcase key achievements on Roma integration and inclusion at local level. The results of the mapping will be presented in a EUROCITIES publication that will be disseminated widely. We are interested to know the numbers and main characteristics of the Roma people living in your city. We also wish to know whether data is collected on Roma at local level and which data collection systems are being used. 1.1 Profile of Roma in your city What is the number of Roma people living in your city or the share in total number of inhabitants?
