SHOW WORK on another paper and show it to me on Tuesday. Complete as many problems as possible from the class handouts. If you missed class, look for the handouts in my website. Study for a quiz on the material covered in class Tuesday November 8, 2016 We had a quiz on 5.1 We covered the first part of section 5.2 confidence intervals, pages 1-3 o If you missed class, check my website, chapter 5 materials the handout and the solutions are there. GET HELP if you need it. TOMORROW math club tutoring from 3 to 5 in SC 360 I WILL BE THERE! You need to be familiar with the vocabulary!!!!!! Tuesday October 4 The competency test is over for most of you! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO PASSED MATH 093 IS DONE, now it s time to concentrate in statistics. If you need to make-up the competency test, study both exams 1 and 2, and go over the quadratic functions notes. The make-up will test similar types of questions based on different stories. Come to see me for help or go to the math science center; it s just a few more days! Complete sections 2.5, 2.6 handouts Complete wiley plus Organize your binder and bring it to class come early so I can check it before class starts. Exam 2 exponential and logarithmic operations Thursday 9/22 ONE HOUR test from 8:30 to 9:30 am; then, we will work with o QUADRATIC functions o Statistics I collected to grade o Take home on 2.2 o Histogram paper We discussed o The handout 2.3 that you completed at home (we will finish the section on Thursday 9/22) o The handout DIET COKE AND WATER Mean, median, standard deviation, five number summary, box plots Writing comparative statements based on the box plots o We used the calculator to construct box plots with the data: temperatures of Des Moines and San Francisco THERE WILL BE NO HWK due Thursday 9/22. You need to concentrate in studying for the algebra test. Thursday September 15, 2016 We learned o the number e o evaluating exponential functions with base e (given x, find y) o solving exponential functions using natural logs (given y find x) Complete the new exponential functions handout that you got on Tuesday. On Tuesday we will review for the exam on exponents and logs which is Thursday 9/22 If you have time, review the exam on lines so you keep the material fresh for the final exam (10/4) I collected the take home quiz on section 2.1 We discussed the first two pages of the handout for 2.2 that you had completed at home. COMPLETE ALL the problems on pages 1-7.
