3 Method of Evaluation: 20% Online Homework 20% Quizzes There will be online homework assignments through WebAssign ( Each section will have its own homework assignment, thus allowing for flexibility in the lecture. Each section s homework will be due the following class time that it is covered. Homework is still due, even if you are not present for class. Homework due dates are non-negotiable, this includes technical difficulties. You may, however, do the homework after the due date for reduced credit. Class Key: collin Quizzes are done in class and are timed. Quizzes must be done in pencil. You must be present to receive and turn in a quiz. Quizzes will not be handed out more than 10 minutes after the start of class. 40% Tests Tests are timed and you will be asked to turn in what you have completed when time is called. You may start a test late, but you will still be required to turn it in when time is called. Tests must be done in pencil! Your calculators will be cleared as you begin the test. Any programs and apps in your calculator will be lost. Calculators may also be checked out at the library for 4-hour intervals, but there is a limited number of these available. Tests will have TWO parts: a calculator part and a non-calculator part. Tests will not be given after the specified test dates/times. 20% Comprehensive Final Exam The final exam is comprehensive and is required for all students. Failure to take the final exam will result in an F in the course. The final exam will be administered in class on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 7:00pm 9:00pm. The final semester grade is based on the following: Percentage Grade A B C D Below 59 F Makeup Policy: There will be no makeup work given. Your lowest quiz grade will be dropped and your final exam grade will replace your lowest test grade, if it is higher. This will cover any unforeseen absence.
