All students will be able to access a set of revision cards for each exam. Parents can help support by going through the cards to assist with embedding knowledge and developing student recall. Past papers are available online on the Edexcel website, as well as Examiners Reports with some exemplar answers.

44 COURSE OVERVIEW At GCSE. Students at Wilmington follow the AQA A syllabus, a linear course made up of three components. UNIT 1: PHYSICAL PAPER A 1 HOUR 30 minute external examination paper based on three physical units 37.5% - 75 marks UNIT 2: HUMAN PAPER A 1 HOUR 30 minute external examination paper based on three human units 37.5% - 84 marks Unit 3: Local Fieldwork investigation Controlled Assessment 25% - 60 marks
45 COURSE OVERVIEW Over the period of years 10-11, pupils study six units, three human and three physical as follows: Human Units: Tourism, Population Growth and Changing Urban Environments Physical Units: The Coastal Zone, Water on the Land and The Restless earth. During the course, pupils gain a range of geographical skills including data collection and analysis, numerical manipulation, graphical and cartographical skills, problem solving, and literacy and numeracy.
