10 3 Lab Working in the Lab The student s Lab is separated into two separate areas: the Table of Contents and the Main Content Area. The Table of Contents is the gray content menu on the left-hand side of your Lab and contains assigned and practice problems. Note: Clicking on the plus sign ( ) expands specific sections of your Chapter content in the Table of Contents by one section at a time; clicking on the minus sign ( ) contracts specific topics in the Table of Contents by one subcourse at a time. Clicking on the gray arrow ( ) expands specific topics in the Table of Contents by revealing all subcourses at a time. You can also change your view by using the drop-down menu above the Table of Contents. By default your view displays the standard view, however, you can choose to display by deadline or exercise number. - Main Content Area: this is the area to the right of the Table of Contents and contains the Work Area tab. The Work Area is led by a Problem Statement Area, which presents the exercise to you. In some cases, additional information that may be necessary for the problem or exercise will be added here by your instructor, identified as an Instructor Note. The Interaction Area sits below the Problem Statement Area and it is where you will type in your submission, or solution. Note: To quickly identify your results for individual problems and exercises, click on to view the colour distinction between incorrect and correct attempts. Once you have accessed and submitted a solution to an exercise, a colour will assigned to that exercise in the Table of Contents.
