1 Kent ISD Teacher Leadership Academy Certification Program WHAT: Leading Change from the Classroom Teachers as leaders Teacher Leadership is the knowledge, skills, and attitudes demonstrated by teachers who continue to teach while they lead and influence others within and beyond the classroom. January 2016 to December 2017 WHY: HOW: Teacher leadership fosters the relationships necessary to build capacity within staff toward continuous school improvement. Cognitive Coaching Foundations: The mission of Cognitive Coaching is to produce self-directed persons with the cognitive capacity for high performance, both independently and as members of a community.
