Please read over the following pages carefully prior to making your selections for the July 27 th Pre-Planning Professional Learning Institute. Our offices hope this information will provide you with everything you ll need to make your day go smoothly. For those that would prefer to remain on campus during lunch; King Kabob will be on hand to take orders. Please remember the dishes are cooked to order and not fast food. To better prepare for the number of meals needed, please help us estimate by registering in PD Express 1090 indicating your choice. Purchases are cash or card and paid to King Kabob the day of training. Can t remember your PD Express ID? It s the first initial of your legal first name, your last name and the last four of your social (cmoore1234). Your password is your full social without spaces or dashes. You can also click the Question Mark? on the PD Express log-in page for additional information. Go to the In-District PD tab dropping down to In-District PD Catalog. Participants will learn ways to create lessons where students are active participants in their learning. This session is offered for returning K-2 reading teachers: learn more about the implementation of Saxon along with time-saving tips. This interactive workshop will assist Grades 3-5 ELA, SS and Sci teachers in understanding how to leverage Achieve 3000 lessons for writing instruction in their classrooms. This workshop is for new teachers to the district or grade level who need an introduction to the components of Achieve 3000, reports & how to utilize. Teachers will learn how to use Content & Literacy in Science Resource. Teacher Created Materials has developed standards-based lessons to support the implementation of GSE Navigating the Reading Wonders Digital Platform to leverage learning for your literacy block Examples of how Uncovering Student Ideas in Science series and formative assessment strategies are used to support practicing and future teachers' learning about science content and conceptual change pedagogy. Looking for a better way to teach science? Help your students learn how to figure things out by doing science rather than having them learn facts and vocabulary words. The Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) instructional model provides a tool to transform how you teach science.
