STEM Communiy Engagemen is based on he Communiy Visioning and Design Process (CVP) developed by NC STEM and is a viable soluion o bridging he gap beween our educaion pipeline and he needs of oday s workforce. 3

7 Wha is he Engineering Design Process & how does i inform his work? The Engineering Design Process is a cyclical mehod by which new, soluion-oriened developmens are creaed. Some version of he process is used by companies like Apple and IDEO o creae new echnology, or engineering rms o design bridges or compuer chips, or even sudens compeing in roboics compeiions. For he purposes of his guide, we will uilize he process provided by N.C. Sae Universiy College of Engineering. This ve-sep process consisenly helps us o ask quesions, plan, do, re ne, and ask again.
