Fourth Quarter 7 th GRADE LANGUAGE ARTS March March 31- April 4 April 7-11 April Students are participating in writer s notebook activities in order to begin thinking about own personal experience with literacy as it pertains to their individual growth as a writer Continue reflecting View examples of reflective letters Students will begin prewriting for the reflective piece Students will begin draft one, start revising, editing, etc. Students will finalize reflective piece for writing portfolio What form will it take? How can I make a connection between reading, writing, listening, and speaking? What does it mean to be literate? How has reading affected my writing? How important is it to become literate? What are my strengths and weaknesses? How will I organize my ideas for this piece of writing? What is the correct format? Why are revisions important? Why is it important to edit?
