2 How ICF Works? ICF is a global Coaching Standard governing body, which approves a training institutes towards their ability to be able to provide coach training Only Coach specific training taken from such approved body is counted as Coach Training The overall Coach Specific training from any institute should be 72 hours, covering all the 11 competencies listed as mandatory in ICF governing body Any ICF approved coach is expected to display in every coaching session these 11 competencies and to live by the coaching ethics as mentioned in ICF Since Coaching is an acquired skill, a coach is expected to fulfill minimum certain hours of coaching and share the log maintained for the coaching with the governing body

3 How ICF Works? To get ACC accredited - the 1 st level of becoming a ICF accredited coach, a person should have done minimum 100 hours of coaching, of which the individual will be able to submit a log mentioning details Recorded Coaching Session and ProBono Coaching Sessions to be shared with the ICF master coaches to enable them to evaluate quality of coaching session After 100 hrs of coaching, individual to appear for Competency Knowledge Assessment (CKA) through ICF to evaluate the understanding of the individual about coaching and how to carry out a coaching session Required 10 hrs of Mentoring by ACC qualified coach All measures to ensure all coaches who get ACC level accreditation as a coach, maintain the quality and standard of coaching experience and result for the client.
