2 Local Economic Conditions Generation Park San Jacinto College closed on 57 acres in Generation Park The college hopes to educate students for careers in the oil and gas industry Located across from the FMC Technologies New Corporate Headquarters on Lockwood Rd (which is expected to move 1,400 employees to Generation Park by 2016) Lone Star College also acquired 8.3 acres in Generation Park for a new Process Technology Center The 4,000 acre park is being developed by McCord Development Memorial Hermann NE Kingwood Memorial Herman is building an $11.2 million convenient care clinic at West Lake Houston Parkway and Kingwood Drive The two-story, 45,000 sq. ft. building, will have an emergency room, specialty and primary care physicians and a walk-in clinic Laboratory services and MRI and CT screenings will also be available Expected to be completed fall 2016 Chemical Plant Could Bring 100 Jobs A $600 million chemical plant is working through City of Dayton approval The plant would be located on the south side of the city limits The facility is anticipated to employ 100 people 2

16 Summary Texas economy continues to be the strongest state economy in the country. Houston will continue to have positive job and population growth due to its diverse economy and strong housing demand. Huffman ISD has approximately 2,900 acres in various stages of single family development. Total elementary enrollment is anticipated to reach 1,700 students by HISD can expect an increase of approximately 500 students during the next 5 years. 2020/21 enrollment projection: 3,971. HISD is projected to have more than 4,700 students for the 2025/26 school year. 16
