To increase opportunities for the members of the school community to experience their faith; By the end of 2013: All children will play an active role at least 2 times in religious celebrations throughout the school year. Increase the number of parents who participate in liturgical celebrations and faith formation opportunities. Create a baseline through monitoring opportunities undertaken by parents. Learning and Teaching To strengthen pedagogical practices to improve student outcomes. To improve student outcomes in reading and writing K- 6. To identify student strengths and needs in maths. By the end of 2013: (* excluding children with academic IEP.) 100% of children will reach diocesan benchmarks in reading until they are at level 30 or IPI school benchmarks.* Have 80% of students in the top 6 stanines of PAT Reading Assessment by the end of 2013.* Have 80% of students in the top 6 stanines of PAT Maths Assessment by the end of 2013.* Have all children in the average, above average or superior achievement bands for the Dalwood Spelling test by the end of 2013.* Establish baseline data with specific narrative writing tasks based on NAPLAN marking schedule. All students have a checklist to confirm participation and number of attendees of parents at faith building opportunities will be kept so to create some baseline data. Arrange these pictures in the shape of a light/ candle Let Your Light Shine in a prominent position within the school. Children are given a Kidsmatter wrist band. Teachers are given a lanyan. Sharing of the Kids Matter program with parent body. Term 1 Pastoral Care Co- ordinator Invite parents to visit and have a picnic lunch with children on Launch Day. Have display tables promoting different things that happen at St Cecilia s (eg P&F, working bees, Peer support, something in literacy, Go maths etc.) that parents to look at and get information. In the morning while the children are working on their SEL/ PDH activities arrange a Kidsmatter information session for parents morning tea supplied. Gather & analyse data to inform the whole school approach to well- being using Kidsmatter component 1 positive school community.
